He’s totally right. Everyone knows it doesn’t look nice if it’s not in sepia tone with something pseudo-insightful written in white Helvetica font over it. Or Instagram. Always the Instagram.

Yes, I would not consider myself a photographer, just a dude who likes to take straight photos of real moments, in real time, of his friends and family, so that they can see them and look back on good times. I completely agree with you, they are simply snapshots! And I think someone such as Robert Frank would agree as well. ;)
